CHARACTERISTICS OF PLANT EQUIPMENT
The Trebbiano abruzzese vineyards are trained with pergola abruzzese system with approximately 1.100 stocks per hectare while the Grapes of Passerina and Chardonnay are trained with a vertical trellis system with 5.200 stocks per hectare. The vineyards have a southern exposure therefore grapes reach a very high degree of ripeness and concentration.
TIMES OF HARVEST AND WINE-MAKING
These are the last white grapes to be harvested, generally during the second decade of October. The care adopted in training and harvesting these grapes is worthy of great wines, and so is the wine making process adopted. Grapes are stemmed, crushed and undergo a short maceration for approximately 15 hours, followed by a traditional white wine-making process at a controlled temperature. Both fermentation and ageing take place in Slavonian oak barrels (25 hl each). This wine rests for 12 months after bottling before being put on the market.
